Arts and Creative Workers Cohort Study

BRIEF

In 2014, the City of Sydney released its Creative City Cultural Policy and Action Plan, following extensive consultation with residents, artists and arts workers. It identified a number of areas of concern for artists and creative workers living and working in Sydney, ranging from grants and funding programs to affordable space and infrastructure.

APPROACH

NSF Consulting was commissioned to conduct face to face interviews with key stakeholders and artists to discuss these concerns in depth, to provide enable the City to better understand the experience of artists and creative workers, and to gather data suitable in City reporting, to be published for review by the wider creative sector.

Six in-depth interviews were conducted with key stakeholder in the City of Sydney, and a findings report was prepared for Council.
