Constitutent Research

National Association for the Visual Arts (NAVA)
2009

BRIEF

NAVA is the peak body representing and advancing the professional interests of the Australian visual arts and craft sector.

The organisation required research with its constituent market to profile its existing members, explore how the organisation can improve its communication with members, explore opportunities to increase revenue and attract new members.

APPROACH

The research comprised online surveys sent to all of NAVA’s constituents and focus groups in Sydney and Melbourne with loyal and lapsed members.

A research report was prepared which discussed findings from the research, including perceptions of NAVA, reasons for joining, benefits of NAVA, reasons for lapsed membership and issues relating to the membership model.  The report also included strategic recommendations.
