Evaluation of The Climate Reality Project

Australian Conservation Foundation
2014

BRIEF

The Climate Reality Project is the Australian branch of Al Gore’s international climate leadership program, founded in 2006. The ACF Board required an evaluation of the program to measure its outcomes, evaluate the most recent training, and recommend how the program can be better integrated into the broader activities of the organisation.

APPROACH

In-depth interviews were conducted with 23 project participants from around Australia, including from every state and territory, from metropolitan and regional locations and from a range of sectors. Telephone interviews were conducted with nine current or former ACF staff members who had been involved in the program, and and online survey was conducted with recent trainees. An evaluation report was prepared for the Board, the findings discussed at a Board meeting regarding the future direction for the program.
